Broken Bread

We are encouraged in Church and by other believers to fill ourselves

up during the week feasting on the word. Also, I have heard this lots "

Our only meal shouldn't just be at Church on Sunday morning. "

Let's dig into the scripture for more answers.

One of the words in Ephesians 1:11 stands out.

Greek Word (Strong’s 4286) Prothesis is the combination of:

pro ‘before" and tithemi ‘to place’

These two words, when used together, form the imagery of each of us individually as pieces of bread ‘broken off’ from the main loaf of Christ Himself. And as there are 7 days in a week, so we are days before the presence of God our Father, partaking of His word and presence. And after 7 days of being in His presence, we can provide the sustenance of life to other members of the body of Christ

We are all unique and different but God created us to work together. Whatever we receive from the Lord in our personal time is not just for us, it is meant to be shared like the bread. The purpose of the Church is to come together and build each other up. When one is feeling weak we encourage them. If we are full from a week of meditating on His word and spending time in His presence it will be easy to do. We are stronger together. We are needed & we need each other.

When you really think about it there is nothing we can't accomplish together. That is why we are not all lips or eyes . We are all special and bring something important to the body.
