Dream Crusher

Often I come across someone who feels lost. They usually say "I don't know

what I am doing with my life." They can't figure out what their purpose is.

They feel stuck and can't see past their day to day life.

Here are ( 5 reasons why people struggle to identify their dreams)

1) Discouragement from dreaming by others

“Who would hang earrings on a dog’s ear or throw pearls in front of wild pigs? They’ll only trample them under their feet and then turn around and tear you to pieces! ( TPT Matthew 7:6)

We need to be careful with who we share our dreams. There are many dream crushers out there. You come to them all excited and passionate and you leave questioning if you were wrong. You start to ask "God is this really you." Many DREAM CRUSHERS are not pursuing their dreams. When you come to them with yours a part of them does not want you to succeed because they haven't succeeded yet. Ask the Lord who you should share your dreams with. Don't let past discouragement stop you in the present day from pursuing your dreams.

2) Hindered by past disappointments (hurts)

Stepping in and pursuing your dreams isn't always like walking through a field full of flowers it takes hard work. At times it can be discouraging and you will face many battles but don't let those disappointments make you quit. Just because you failed does not mean your dream isn't attainable. Get back up dust off the dirt and learn from your mistakes or the mistakes of others.

"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it."
- Margaret Thatcher

3)Habit of settling for average

We are not called to live a comfortable life. It is important to stretch ourselves and try something. It allows us to look at things differently and to grow in so many new ways. If we view life from a new perspective it can also allow for new dreams to develop because we are walking in different soil. If we stay in the same place (mentally & physically) all the time it can be extremely hard for us to grow and dream.

"You can't reach for your dream and remain & safe at the same time."-Pastor Joseph

4) Lack of confidence needed to pursue a dream

You can still dream if you don't have confidence but you become unable to pursue it.

So many people I come across tell me what they dream of doing. When I ask "When will you start?" They usually respond " I don't this I have what it takes." They come up with a mountain of excuses. Truth be told once they know their identity in Christ all those excuses begin to fade away.

5) Some people lack the imagination to dream

"Imagination is the soil that brings a dream to life."-Pst Joseph

It's exciting!! Finding your dream shouldn't feel like a chore but rather a great opportunity.

The possibilities are endless. God has placed so much on the inside of you for a reason.

Lord, help us to step through and past these struggles.

Help us to dream again.

Help us not to only dream but pursue our dreams.

Amen
