Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and when He reigns in our hearts, His peace will begin to destroy that chaos, that hostility, that anger, that anxiousness, that hatred, confusion, and bring us peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding and will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus! (Phil.4:6). - Page 40 in-class notes

I love chatting with people that attend our church for the first time. I ask them afterward what they thought. The usual response was I felt so at home, I felt such peace. Sometimes I take it for granted. I am used to that sense of belonging the warmth and welcome I receive in God's presence. That peace goes everywhere with me it doesn't remain just in the church building.
Because Jesus is the ruler of my heart. He is in charge.
The chaos and things of this world are always trying to steal/take away that peace. The cool thing is we can decide to remain in God's peace. It isn't only for our benefit but it can affect those around us... PEACE can spread. Let us influence those around us for the better.
During youth one night while playing a soccer game I fell down and broke my arm pretty badly. As I was lying on the ground the whole youth group and leaders surrounded me. All of them were panicking, they didn't know what to do. Even though I was in excruciating pain I began to calmly tell the others what we should do next. Slowly everyone started to settle down.
Many times it is easier to panic or freak out in situations such as these. Remember He is the ruler of your heart. He can help you stay clear-minded and peaceful no matter what you're facing.
TURN AWAY FROM THE FEAR AND FACE HIM. LET HIS PEACE CONSUME YOU.
