Re-imagine Generosity

When a church begins to only focus inwardly that is when it dies. Like us, as humans, we are built to be generous to those around us. We think being kind to a teller at the grocery store isn't a big deal but it could mean a great deal to them. God calls us to hold nothing back from Him. That includes our time, finances... Whatever and whenever He asks us to give. He wants us to learn to do so without hesitation. Many of us want to cling to things but we are asked to do the opposite in the bible time and time again. Let Go & Let God.

Mark 12:41-44 “Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

Are we giving God our left-overs or the very best we have to give? .

Learning to give freely without hesitation is not easy but with God's help,

anything is possible.

Ask God who He wants you to bless today?

“Sometimes the world’s problems are so big we think we can do little to help. On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine.” - Queen Elizabeth
