Real Treasure

Hebrews 10:32-39 (The Message Translation)

"Remember those early days after you first saw the light? Those were the hard times!

Kicked around in public, targets of every kind of abuse—some days it was you, other days your friends. If some friends went to prison, you stuck by them. If some enemies broke in and seized your goods, you let them go with a smile, knowing they couldn’t touch your real treasure. Nothing they did bothered you, nothing set you back. "

Thoughts// The truth is I know where I am going. This isn't my home heaven is. Why focus on daily trials when I can smile and focus on the Kingdom. My real treasure is my faith and hope in Jesus Christ. As long as my eyes are on Him all negative circumstances don't matter. They have no power over me. God carries me through.

"So don’t throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It’s still a sure thing! But you need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion."

//It is a choice that I continue to make. The way I see things and what I choose to focus on.

The promises God made will never change. I can lean and trust in His words and choose to ignore what the world says.

Am I all over the place or am I being consistent? Lord help me to have a steadfast faith in you.

Help my eyes remain focused on your Kingdom.

"It won’t be long now, he’s on the way; he’ll show up most any minute. But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won’t be very happy.

But we’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no!

We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way."

Lord, I want to always trust you no matter what the circumstance. I want to remain joyful and have a good attitude no matter what I am facing. Help me to grow and see myself the way you see me. I want your joy to bubble out from me. Help me to share your love with everyone I meet. Amen
