Stormy Weather

Pastor Dave's Vision :

He saw the movie clip in the movie Forest Gump.

They were out fishing for shrimp but catching nothing. Forest thought it would be a good idea to pray. There was a huge storm since they were still out in the water they were the only shrimping boat that survived. The other boats got wrecked on the shore. But there shrimp boat became extremely successful because they were the only ones out fishing.

In the season we are in it's important to stay out in the water. Not to quit or give up when things are getting too tough. God wants us to keep fishing. Let's keep reaching out to people and finding creative ways to stay connected with others. We shouldn't let lock-down / Isolation keep us from doing what we are called to do.

God wants us to shine our light, not in a secret room where no one can see us. He wants us to be a light to others just like a lighthouse in a storm. Let's lead others in the right direction when they feel lost and confused. We have the solution.

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
