Location: The Meeting Room
Coffee in hand the staff is ready for the meeting to begin.
It starts with someone bringing a new idea to the table.

Person #1 responds :
P.J-"We cannot, I've never done it before." "It's not my job." and they come up with all the excuses why they are unable to do it. Then later on they ask themselves why they feel like they never get anything accomplished. **They tend to focus more on their insecurities & fears rather than the strengths and gifts God has placed on the inside them. Instead of seeing how the new idea can benefit other people they only see it as something they can possibly fail.
Person # 2 responds:
P.J-"We have the opportunity to be the first."They take responsibility. They get passionate about breaking new ground. They don't focus on not having the resources. They say things like " How can we make this happen?" They consider what gifts they have that can be useful to make the idea happen. Sometimes if they do not have the skills necessary they look for others who can help. They also learn new skills if needed.

Honestly, I have been both these types of people around a meeting table. I am sorry to admit that I have pushed down and discouraged some new ideas pretty harshly. I have seen the person that proposes the idea shrink back in their seat. I've also been the person who shrinks back in their seat. I have also seen the impact it makes when you come alongside someone. When you support them and encourage them and are willing to work hard and try new things with them. It's amazing what can happen.
DIG---DEEP
Don't stop encouraging others to step out into their dreams/ step out with them.
Don't let discouragement/fear stop you from stepping into the dreams
God has placed in your heart either.
Dreams are about reaching others. It's time we get over ourselves.
