Think Meek

Gal 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 GENTLENESS (MEEKNESS), self-control. Against such, there is no law.”

Meekness is tender-toughness. Just because you are meek does not mean you are weak.

As Kids, we are taught to want to be Successful. What if God asks us to let someone else come in first? The most amazing people I know are never afraid to kneel before the king of kings. They reach out to the weak and hurting not because they pity them but they see past what is going on on the outside and they see the heart.

When watching movies or stories on tv. I would always be in shock when I would see a clip of someone sacrificing themselves. For example their 1st price medal, they would stop running and go back for the one that was injured and help them across the finish line. To me this is beyond just being kind you are sacrificing yourself and not putting yourself on a higher level than others.

Let's do this together. You are not alone.

When thinking of meekness this also comes to mind. I am proud to have a Mama Bear in my Life. She is never afraid to call me out on my stuff. I always know that she does it because she loves me and wants what is best for me. She wants to protect me but she also challenges me to do better. It always comes from Love, not judgment.

I am still working on fully grasping the full concept of meekness. I am excited to have you along on this journey with me. What I put below is helping me to understand it more fully and I pray it will be a help to you as well.

Meekness is a quality that most of us recognise when we come in contact with it but may not have a word for it!
>>You were corrected and yet felt protected
>>You were convicted and yet you felt restored
>>Justice was done and yet hope was not destroyed
>>You had a loss and yet you feel loved and cared for!
