Well Pleased

"Self-Control says my motivation is to please God."
People like to send me some really cruel stuff through text message somedays.
I am not one to get angry easily but on occasion, I read a message that makes my blood boil.
At that moment I make a choice to not respond right away. I know that whatever I say in the heat of the moment can hurt someone badly. I never want to damage a relationship using a single text message. It can be very difficult to rebuild trust with someone after that happens.
I want to always make God proud. I know He always loves me and fights for me. But you know those moments where you just know He is smiling at you with a twinkle in His eye."That's my daughter!" "That's my son." I want to live my life that way.

Thing's I've discovered & Learned :
1) The more I spend time with the father the less I get angry
& the more love spills out of my daily life. (2 Tim 3:5) from your heart, out of it flows the way you live.
2) The way I act & react to things affects those around me.
I want to always inspire others to love rather than walk-in anger & offense.
3) Responding to a situation right away can be deadly. It really helps to give yourself time to process & go to the father with what you're carrying.
Thank you, Lord, that we can walk in freedom.
Thank you, that we don't have to walk in shame & fear.
Help us to always come to you first when faced with a hard situation.
Help us to grow daily in Self-Control. Amen
